Lotto winner scoops over R65 million in year-end draw
ONE lucky Northern Cape resident is starting the new year as a multi-millionaire after winning more than R65 million in the National Lottery draw held on December 31.
Ithuba, the operator of the National Lottery, confirmed that the winning ticket was purchased in Colesberg using the Quick Pick selection method, with a wager of just R20. The winning numbers were drawn in Lotto draw 2607, making it a spectacular close to the year for the fortunate ticket holder.
The jackpot win has sparked excitement in the area, with Ithuba encouraging all participants who played Lotto in Colesberg and surrounding areas to check their tickets carefully and ensure that any winnings are claimed.
