Radio presenter in court for allegedly raping colleague and former girlfriend at her home

A 42-year-old man is expected to appear before the Moutse Magistrate’s Court on Thursday for a bail application on a charge of rape.

According to Limpopo SAPS spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba, the alleged incident took place on December 26 last year at about 10.45 am at an RDP house in Walkaal.

The complainant, a 39-year-old woman who is a presenter at a local radio station, reported that she was allegedly raped by her colleague and former boyfriend, who also works as a radio presenter.

Mashaba said the woman had returned to the radio station after knocking off duty to collect belongings she had left behind. The suspect allegedly followed her and later offered to help carry the items to her place of residence, where the alleged rape occurred.
