U.S. dollar ticks down
NEW YORK, June 23 (Xinhua) — The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Monday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased by 0.3 percent to 98.411 at 3:00 p.m. (1900 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro advanced to 1.1574 U.S. dollars from 1.1529 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound increased to 1.3521 dollars from 1.3465 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 146.15 Japanese yen, higher than 145.97 Japanese yen of the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8124 Swiss francs from 0.8172 Swiss francs, and it added to 1.3739 Canadian dollars from 1.3729 Canadian dollars.
