HANOI, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) — Vietnam’s electronics sector accounts for 17.8 percent of the whole industrial sector, according to the latest statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Vietnam ranks among the world’s top 15 biggest exporters of electronic products, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The export turnover of Vietnam’s electronic sector last year reached over 114 billion U.S. dollars, a year-on-year increase of 6 percent and accounting for over 30 percent of the country’s total, according to the Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The exports of the electronics industry have been in second position in the group of Vietnam’s key export products for many years.

The increased inflow of foreign investment into Vietnam’s electronics industry is expected to create a positive outlook for the country’s exports of computers, electronic products and components in the future. Enditem
